Lead Electrician - Lead Journeymen

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Lead Electrician / Lead Journeyman to join our team. This role involves reading blueprints, installing and maintaining electrical systems, and using various tools and testing equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic equipment and fixtures used in the petroleum industry using hand tools and power tools.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning systems or components using testing equipment to identify and correct failures.
• Use ohm meters, volt meters, amp probes, and meggers as required.
• Install conduits, pull wire, and make final connections to circuit breakers, petroleum pumps, dispensers, Point of Sale consoles, tank monitors, and petroleum lighting.
• Inspect electrical systems and components to verify compliance with safety requirements, codes, project specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
• Verify proper operation of electrical systems.
• Advise management, customers, and fellow workers when hazards are present and confirm when electrical systems are safe to operate.
• Assist the estimator with material take-off, material cost, and labor allowances.
• Maintain company vehicle by keeping it clean, ensuring regular maintenance, and using it only for company business.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of Journeyman Electrician experience required.
• Knowledge of electrician standards and codes.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift 75–100 lbs when necessary.
• Willingness to work outside in all types of weather.
• Ability to work efficiently under time constraints and collaborate well with others.
• Adherence to all company procedures.
