About the role

This position oversees all electrical systems and operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant installations, maintenance, and repairs. The role also involves leading a team of technicians, coordinating projects, and serving as the primary technical resource for electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding the mission statement.
  • Lead by example and carry out the Five Star Experience to Guests and all Team Members by fulfilling the Mission Statement, Service Promise, and following department service standards.
  • Coach and support Team Members to ensure they have the skills, tools, and resources to successfully complete their jobs, including delivering the Five Star Experience expectations.
  • Lead and mentor electrical technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, gaming equipment, HVAC controls, and emergency systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to urgent repair requests promptly.
  • Plan and execute electrical upgrades, installations, and renovations in collaboration with other departments and contractors.
  • Review electrical upgrade schematics and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical work, permits, and inspections.
  • Aid in managing electrical supplies inventory and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Provide input for annual budgeting related to electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
  • Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and assist them as required.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
  • Able to make difficult decisions in a fair and honest manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical Certification or Associate Degree in Electrical Systems preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of electrical experience, with at least 2 years in supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid electrical license or certification preferred, OSHA Safety training a Plus.
  • Pass periodic random drug screens.
  • Pass background suitability investigation.
  • Obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • Obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
  • Provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk and sit.
  • Occasionally required to use upper extremities, including but not limited to, hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and/or push, pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Occasionally use repetitive movements to complete tasks.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Exposure to low light conditions, and exposure to loud noise for extended periods.
  • Work environment characteristics include multiple locations, some enterprises open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, some enterprises are gaming facilities, some enterprises are not a smoke-free environment, surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities on 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis.
