Lead Electrical Designer
Job Summary
Functions in a lead technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisory capacity
Applies advanced technical expertise to solve complex design challenges within a specific engineering discipline and contributes to the development of innovative engineering solutions
Utilizes digital design tools and software, such as CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling, while following standardized procedures to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables
Responsible for technical quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance while effectively coordinating efforts across departments, teams, and stakeholders
May supervise engineering technicians and support staff by coordinating, overseeing, and guiding conceptual and detailed design activities to ensure quality, efficiency, and alignment with project objectives
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, communicate, and enforce design and graphic standards
- Review project requirements to determine appropriate formats and deliverable content
- Promote quality across projects, groups, and sections
- Review design inputs to ensure consistency and compliance
- Ensure design deliverables are prepared, coordinated among disciplines, and issued in accordance with quality assurance and project-specific procedures
- Improve integration, coordination, and communication across disciplines
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design guides, standards, and processes
- Lead or participate in process improvement and change management initiatives
- Apply sound engineering fundamentals and established design practices in the development of deliverables
- Exercise sound judgment, make work-related decisions, and provide guidance to other professionals
- Coordinate deliverable presentations and delegate production design activities or other electronic applications as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with MicroStation 3D Design
- Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related work experience

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
