About the role

The Lead EIS Facilities Planning Project Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating all activities necessary to implement various information systems, including managing project responsibilities such as system requirements definition, process and workflow redesign, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, implementation coordination, and transition to support functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed project budgets, schedules, status reports, and PowerPoint presentations; escalate critical issues.
• Coordinate communication between project team members, operational partners, and vendors; ensure vendor responsiveness and contract compliance.
• Provide project management expertise for the entire project lifecycle, including system requirements definition, workflow redesign, business case development, RFP creation, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiation.
• Ensure contract compliance, risk analysis, project scope management, implementation, and support transition.
• Work with operational partners to develop and plan project timelines, including requirements, workflow, QA/testing, end-user training, go-live readiness, and support.
• Project resource requirements, assign resources appropriately, and manage resource allocation throughout the project.
• Lead and manage projects within established time and budget parameters.
• Provide timely status reports using department procedures for internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay current with trends and developments in the field through vendor user groups, conferences, vendor demonstrations, and peer interactions.
• Maintain a strong understanding of system development and project management methodologies.
• Respond promptly to customer needs, assume ownership of customer relationships, and follow issues through to closure.

Requirements

• Five (5) or more years of experience managing IT projects (infrastructure planning & engineering), preferably in a healthcare organization.
• Solid grasp of data communication buildouts, cabling scopes, and hardware orders.
• Hybrid remote role: must currently live in the Los Angeles area or be willing to relocate for onsite requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, information technology, or a related field preferred.
