Lead EEG Technologist - Neurology EEG Lab

Maine Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Lead EEG Technologist to provide advanced neurodiagnostic expertise and operational oversight for EEG teams in Portland and Scarborough, as well as the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at MMC Portland. This role ensures high-quality patient care, consistent clinical standards, and efficient workflow coordination across locations while serving as a working technologist and mentor.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational oversight for EEG teams in Portland and Scarborough and the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU).
• Ensure high-quality patient care and consistent clinical standards across locations.
• Coordinate efficient workflows and facilitate strong communication among teams.
• Serve as a working technologist while mentoring staff and supporting training and competency development.
• Collaborate with physicians, leaders, and multidisciplinary partners within Neuroscience Services.
• Maintain proficiency with EEG acquisition systems and neurodiagnostic software.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology Program.
• Current ABRET credential (R. EEG T.) required.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Minimum 3–5 years of EEG experience.
• Experience with LTM, EMU operations, or ICU EEG monitoring.
• Maintains required continuing education (minimum 10 CEUs annually).

• Advanced credentials (CNIM, CLTM).
• Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $34.35 to $46.46 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
