Lead Editor

About the role

This is a remote, contract position for a Lead Editor at IBT Media. Applicants must reside within the New York City metropolitan region (including surrounding areas of New Jersey, Long Island, Westchester, and Connecticut) and be available to work Eastern Time Zone business hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the editorial team, develop and execute content strategies.
• Ensure high-quality editorial standards and manage the production of engaging content.
• Edit and review articles, mentoring writers to uphold deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain the voice, accuracy, and integrity of IBT Media's editorial output.

Qualifications

• Must currently reside in the Greater New York City Area.
• Strong skills in Editing, Proofreading, and Content Quality Assurance.
• Experience in Content Strategy development and Editorial Management.
• Exceptional skills in Writing and Content Creation.
• Familiarity with Journalism, Reporting, and Story Development.
• Ability to mentor and manage diverse writing and editorial teams.
• Understanding of digital media trends and audience engagement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
• Proven experience in a senior editorial role, preferably in digital media.

Pay

$10,000 USD per month ($120,000 USD per year).
