The DC Shipping Floor Lead will assist the DC Transportation Manager with shipping retail and ecommerce packages, processing products using standard operating procedures, and leading the team of employees. The Floor Lead will not counsel employees within the department but may be present during counseling being performed by the supervisor.
Key Accountabilities
- Aid in developing a daily plan around unit goals and staffing requirements for Shipping.
- Assist in assigning work, ensuring all priorities receive proper attention.
- Ensure all outbound cartons are shipped within expected guidelines.
- Manage issues and product errors encountered in a timely manner.
- Ensure all Ecommerce orders are shipped correctly and on time.
- Coordinate 3rd party pick-ups and schedule accordingly.
- Communicate trailer numbers of outbound trailers daily.
- Communicate job expectations and coach employees.
- Responsible for ensuring employees are performing at expected rates.
- Work with employees as needed to achieve performance standards.
- Using the MOS System, monitor employee performance daily.
- As needed, perform new time studies and adjust rates.
- Cross train employees in all departments as volume demands dictate.
- Aid in performing payroll and employee attendance tracking weekly.
- Ensure inventory accuracy is a priority.
- Enforce company rules and regulations, both in your department and throughout the DC.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce standard operating procedures on all tasks executed within Shipping.
- Communicate effectively with external company departments that interact with RSU and Shipping.
- Look for ways for continuous improvement.
- Promote a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform safety tasks as assigned.

- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Prior leadership experience is a plus.
- Ability to work and motivate employee teams.

- Previous warehouse/distribution/production experience helpful.
- Basic knowledge of computer PC skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Physical demands include continuous standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, grasping, reaching, climbing, or balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, stretching, crouching, crawling, pulling, pushing, working, and reaching overhead, using ladders or lifts, and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to use handling equipment and machinery including sorter systems, conveyors, RF guns, metal hooks, plastic bags, plastic packaging, cardboard boxes, tape dispensers, and other materials necessary to the production and packaging of merchandise.

Pay
The starting rate for this position is $18.03 – $23.44 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual's skills, background, and experience in determining the final salary. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
