About the Solutions Consulting & Engineering (SC&E) Team

About the Role

A resourceful, hyper-curious technology professional with a depth of experience in assessing and architecting large-scale systems, focusing on distributed systems. Must have the ability to drive complex technical decisions and explain decisions and trade-offs to a broad range of stakeholders, from technical team members to client C-level. Responsible for managing solution architecture across multi-team development efforts, including providing technical oversight and leadership for multiple application architects and technical leads to ensure overall delivery success.

They are expected to have expertise in all aspects of software system design, including scalability, performance, and maintainability. Adept at quickly reviewing and understanding APIs, SDKs, and technical documentation, and service offerings, including off-the-shelf software solutions. The role requires a proactive, hyper-curious mindset focused on finding new and creative solutions that can take conceptual technology ideas and plan to operationalize them for customer transformation engagements.

This role is an individual contributor position.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops system architecture for scalable systems.
  • Researches, architects, and drives complex technical solutions, consisting of multiple technologies to meet system requirements.
  • Develops prototypes for client pitches and manages them through to completion with the WWT Digital team.
  • Conducts technology reviews, assessments, and dependency mapping exercises for clients to best understand current client technological environments.
  • Analyzes current client technological stage and proposes improvements and future implementations.
  • Communicates architectural and technical decisions to both internal stakeholders and client stakeholders.
  • Provides technical leadership to several teams, including multiple Architects and Technical Leads on WWT Digital-led projects.
  • Tailors communication to multiple levels, from technical team members to C-level stakeholders.
  • Works alongside strategists, creative, and research team members to formulate and design strategies for digital evolution and identify the technical components and feasibility of those ideas within a digital transformation roadmap.
  • Provides mentoring to other Architects and members of the team.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and techniques.
  • Experience developing software with automated unit & integration testing.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 15 years' progressive experience in a related field.
  • Up to 25% domestic and international travel.

Skills

  • Highly proficient in a variety of technologies vertically and horizontally. Being proficient in multiple stacks is preferred.
  • Exhibits superior communication skills, both oral and written, is clear, concise, sincere, and persuasive—excellent listening skills and displays genuine interest in the voice of others.
  • Demonstrates initiative and creativity in all work efforts. Pursues objectives beyond what is required or expected.
  • Able to mobilize and persuade others.
  • Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and tactical levels to consistently meet/exceed planned objectives.
  • Effective public speaking skills and presence.
  • Capacity to assume more significant responsibilities over time.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $165,000 - $200,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
