About the role

The Lead Data Governance Analyst contributes to the directional strategy and assists in creating and modifying the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, Data Risk and Control Framework, and Data Risk Taxonomy. This role may focus on one or more of the following areas: identification, measurement, and reporting; data policy adoption and compliance; data controls framework performance and issue management; and regulatory and audit response and action tracking. The ideal candidate is dynamic, flexible, and able to respond to rapidly changing needs while handling ambiguity and complexity to deliver on multiple responsibilities. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with multiple teams to implement relevant Data Governance policies and/or Data Risk and Control framework.
  • Provide expertise on Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls framework, including design, effectiveness, performance monitoring, and self-assessment processes.
  • Oversee and analyze data-related issues, track ownership and target dates, and report associated metrics.
  • Support and coordinate with business lines and global functions on enterprise Data Governance strategy rollout, including new Data Risk Taxonomy and associated changes to key risk indicators and control framework.
  • Gather and synthesize metrics on existing Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls principles, policies, practices, and standards, including understanding industry best practices.
  • Produce recommendations for enterprise-wide guiding principles, policies, processes, and practices.
  • Determine requirements for and prioritize development of new enterprise-wide principles, policies, processes, and practices as needed.
  • Develop and manage approaches for measuring adoption of principles, policies, processes, and practices.

Qualifications

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Process Engineering, or a related area.
  • Advanced understanding of Project Management methodologies and tools.
  • Basic commercial awareness.
  • Ability to monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and develop multi-mode communications tailored to different audiences.

Education: Bachelor’s/University degree; Master’s degree preferred.

Pay

Full-time salary range: $125,760.00 - $188,640.00. In addition to salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
