Job Title: Lead Data Engineering Location: Mph- Client Site, New York, US Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer to spearhead our data engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in technology delivery, program management, and technical project leadership, with a strong focus on cloud-based data and analytics solutions. This role requires a hands-on approach to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a proven track record of leading large-scale data platform initiatives from inception to completion. Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale data platform initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.Manage multiple concurrent projects across various stages of data ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics, and reporting.Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Data Governance, and Business stakeholders, to ensure seamless project execution.Develop and implement best practices for data engineering processes, ensuring high-quality data solutions that meet organizational needs.Oversee the design and architecture of data pipelines and data models, ensuring scalability and performance.Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure project transparency and alignment.Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data engineering team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Mandatory Skills Proven expertise in data analytics, with a strong understanding of data visualization and reporting tools.Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its data services.Strong knowledge of data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics processes.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Excellent leadership and team coordination skills, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration. Preferred Skills Experience with data governance frameworks and best practices.Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application in data engineering.Knowledge of data security and compliance standards.Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Relevant certifications in data engineering, cloud technologies, or project management are a plus.
