Lead Data Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer to spearhead our data engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in technology delivery, program management, and technical project leadership, with a strong focus on cloud-based data and analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale data platform initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects across various stages of data ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics, and reporting.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Data Governance, and Business stakeholders, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Develop and implement best practices for data engineering processes, ensuring high-quality data solutions that meet organizational needs.
• Oversee the design and architecture of data pipelines and data models, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure project transparency and alignment.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data engineering team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Skills

• Mandatory:
  • Proven expertise in data analytics, with a strong understanding of data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its data services.
  • Strong knowledge of data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership and team coordination skills, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
• Preferred:
  • Experience with data governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application in data engineering.
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance standards.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in data engineering, cloud technologies, or project management are a plus.

Pay

Salary range $63,000 to $134,500
