Responsibilities
The Cytotechnologist Team Lead provides technical leadership for the Cytology department by preparing and screening cytology specimens, assisting pathologists with FNA and bronchoscopy procedures, coordinating daily workflow, and ensuring compliance with CAP, CLIA, TJC, and Mercy Medical Center quality and accreditation standards.
Requirements
- Must possess a bachelors degree in Biology or related field.
- Must have a certificate in cytology from a CAHEA, or other HHS approved, accredited school of Cytotechnology.
- Meet CAP requirements for training and experience if completed before 1994.
- 3 years of Cytology experience within the preceding 10 yrs required; 5 yrs experience preferred.
- Must possess a registered CT-ASCP Certificate.
