This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to shape threat hunting capabilities, influence detection strategy, and drive innovation across cyber operations.

  • Act as the VP-level technical lead and subject matter expert (SME) for Cyber Threat Hunting, driving the technical and operational capability of the Hunt function while remaining a hands-on individual contributor.
  • Translate hunt findings into actionable defensive improvements by collaborating closely with Cyber Threat Intelligence, CSOC, Incident Response, Detection Engineering, Purple Team, and Vulnerability Management to enhance detection, response, and control effectiveness.
  • Communicate complex hunt findings clearly to senior technical and non-technical stakeholders, producing concise evidence-based reporting, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
  • Monitor the performance of operational controls, implement and manage security controls, and apply lessons learned to protect the bank from potential cyber-attacks and respond to threats.
  • Manage security monitoring systems, including intrusion prevention and detection systems, to alert, detect, and block potential cyber security incidents, ensuring prompt response to restore normal operations with minimized system damage.
  • Identify emerging cyber security threats, attack techniques, and technologies to detect and prevent incidents, collaborating with industry networks and conferences to gain expertise.
  • Manage and analyze security information and event management systems to collect, correlate, and analyze security logs, events, and alerts or potential threats.
  • Triage data loss prevention alerts to identify and prevent sensitive data from being exfiltrated from the bank’s network.
  • Manage cyber security incidents, including remediation and driving them to closure.
