Lead Custodian - Ox Bow Elementary- 6:00am - 2:30pm

About the role

The Building Lead is responsible for maintaining the school buildings in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. This includes monitoring the operation of boilers and HVAC systems to ensure appropriate heating and cooling for staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Turn on lights throughout the building.
• Check boilers and log temperatures.
• Ensure the building is prepared for daily operations.
• Remove snow and salt as needed throughout the day.
• Check for communications from night staff regarding any issues.
• Check email daily and review the Google calendar for scheduled events and setups.
• Review FMX for work orders.
• Set daily door schedules and send out weekly event emails.
• Update the communication board.
• Carry a radio at all times and respond to requests promptly.
• Check the Trane HVAC system daily to ensure schedules are set for events and that areas are operating properly.
• Submit FMX work orders as needed.
• Ensure the building remains secure throughout the school day.
• Check restrooms regularly and touch up and stock supplies as needed.
• Monitor custodians’ cleaning areas, completing a checklist at least five times per week.
