Lead Custodian (6:00 am - 2:30 pm)

About the role

Join the Facilities Management team as a Lead Custodian where you can be part of a great crew. In addition to regular cleaning duties, you will lead a crew of 5 to 15 team members in the day-to-day cleaning and custodial care of one or two buildings under the direction of the building Supervisor.

• Inspect work areas daily.
• Use proper and established methods and materials in cleaning and caring for building areas.
• Provide training and mentoring as directed by the Supervisor.
• Follow a well-established routine.
• Provide feedback to the Supervisor during the performance review period.

Schedule

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position with primary hours from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Weekends and overtime may be required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small crew in custodial duties.
• Perform regular cleaning tasks and custodial care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years of related custodial experience.

Skills

• Ability to lead a small working crew.
• Ability to see details at close range.
• Ability to listen and understand spoken information and ideas.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.

Physical Demands

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching throughout the day.
