About the role

The Lead Custodian - Evening Shift supports the staff and students of USD 232 by providing a safe, clean, operational, and productive learning environment with a customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Supports the staff and students of USD 232 by maintaining a safe, clean, operational, and productive learning environment.
• Works independently without supervision to ensure the upkeep of facilities.
• Ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Performs routine cleaning tasks and repairs minor equipment issues.
• Assists in emergency situations as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in custodial duties with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Ability to read chemical labels.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Clear, criminal background check completed.
• Health certification with a negative TB test on file.
• Passes a standard strength and agility test.
• Submits a pre-employment physical prior to starting work.
