Lead CT Technologist, Radiology Diagnostic (Full-Time, Day Shift)
About the role
Formerly known as Bakersfield Heart Hospital since 1999, Adventist Health Specialty Bakersfield is building upon a legacy of exceptional heart care and expanding its ability to better serve Kern County for decades to come. We are comprised of a 47-bed hospital with three operating rooms, four cardiac catheterization labs, and offer a range of specialty services to the community.
Responsibilities
- Affords care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
- Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
- Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
- Maintains accurate records, files, and billing information.
- Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
- Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education and Work Experience: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
- Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipment
- Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR
- Facility Specific License/Certifications: AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required

Skills
Comprehensive knowledge of computed tomography (CT) equipment and procedures, proficiency in using PACS and teleradiology systems, excellent record-keeping skills, and strong attention to detail.

Pay
The estimated base pay for this position is $49.60 to $68.03. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc.
Schedule
Full-time regular, 12-hour shifts.
