Lead - CT Technologist - CT Scan Unit - Full Time 8 Hours Days (6:30am to 3:00PM) (Union, Non-Except)

Essential Job Functions and Core Responsibilities

• Serves as a role model for delivering compassionate service, displaying empathy and support where appropriate.
• Responsible for all personnel under his/her supervision.
• Makes sure the unit uses its resources efficiently, including labor and materials.
• Shows good judgment and maintains a positive attitude when interacting with doctors, staff, and patients.
• Communicates the department’s service goals to all staff and reinforces high-quality service standards.
• Performs other job duties as needed, such as preparing budget reports, suggesting policy changes, and revising procedure manuals.
• Rotates weekends as needed and covers shifts when necessary.
• Ensures consistent coverage at all times and encourages others to cover shifts as needed.
• Enforces policies and procedures and provides ongoing training to department personnel.
• Identifies ways to save costs or increase revenue within their area of responsibility.
• Acts as a resource for other members of the healthcare team.
• Ensures compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and CT scanning protocols.
• Maintains compliance with radiation safety rules and regulations, monitors radiation doses, and ensures compliance with SB1237.
• Maintains adequate department supplies.
• Interprets and enforces policies, advises the director about violations.
• Develops and implements monthly or biweekly schedules for CT staff.
• Demonstrates creativity in improving customer experiences for both internal and external customers using AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Diagnose, Explain, Thank).

Job Requirements

• Education: High School graduate. Accredited Radiology technologist school graduate.
• Experience: Three years’ experience in an acute health care environment. Minimum 2 years prior experience in CT required.
• Licenses and Certifications: Current CRT, ARRT Certification, Current Fluoroscopy, Current ARRT CT, Current BLS-C Card (AHA).
