Role Overview: The CT Technologist performs a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including advanced protocols such as TAVR and Cardiac CTA, ensuring high-quality, safe, and age-appropriate patient care. They set up equipment, position patients, administer contrast media, and review images for diagnostic acceptability. The role requires independent judgment, critical thinking, and adherence to safety standards. Leadership & Operations: They manage department workflow, maintain equipment, oversee quality control, train and mentor staff, support regulatory compliance, and participate in process improvements. They act as a liaison across departments and assist with hiring and onboarding. Patient Interaction & Communication: Responsibilities include verifying orders, providing clear instructions, addressing patient concerns, and maintaining dignity and comfort. They explain procedures using AIDET, respond to emergencies, and ensure accurate documentation. Qualifications & Skills: Candidates must have completed an accredited Radiologic Technology program, hold ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, BLS certification, and have at least 2 years of clinical experience, including 1 year in CT. Essential skills include excellent communication, independent operation, teamwork, attention to detail, and proficiency in advanced CT protocols. They should also demonstrate strong customer service, professionalism, and adherence to safety standards.
