About the role
This position supports patient care management through coordination of CT activities. Key responsibilities include overseeing staff, scheduling, maintaining equipment, and performing CT procedures.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates outpatient and inpatient exams and procedures.
- Communicates with ancillary departments and nursing to coordinate care.
- Checks requisitions and ensures correct entry into the Radiology Information System.
- Provides advice and direction regarding technical standards per procedure.
- Consults with ordering physicians and Radiologists.
- Ensures effective documentation and communication of patient/exam information.
- Maintains department productivity levels and staff development.
- Schedules department staff and ensures staff utilization.
- Ensures adherence to department and hospital policies and procedures.
- Develops and revises protocols to meet ACR and DNV standards.
- Performs computerized tomography procedures according to policies and procedures.
- Performs venipuncture and administers contrast material.
- Maintains equipment and examination rooms.
- Maintains appropriate inventory and checks supply expiration dates.
- Assists with the evaluation and purchase of new capital equipment.
- Assists in the implementation and training of staff or new technologists.
- Develops competency criteria for equipment and exams.
- Ensures all staff participate in continuing education.
- Reviews and revises department scanning protocols.
- Assists with patient lifts and movement.
- Assists in the evaluation and purchase of new capital equipment.

Requirements
- 5 years experience in CT.
- Associate of Certificate of Radiologic Technology.
- 1 hour annually in stroke care.
Qualifications
- Good communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational skills.
- ARRT Registration.
- IDNS License.
- CPR Certification.
- CT Registration.
Skills
- Knowledge of all areas of the department.
- Ability to wear a lead apron during procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to lift over 35 pounds with assistance.

Pay
$41.10 - $61.65 per hour
Schedule
Day shift with flexibility to support operations. 8:30-5:00 or 9:00-5:30 Monday through Friday
