Lead CSR Technician

About the role

We're looking for a dedicated Lead CSR Technician to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve.

Responsibilities

• Operates sterilizing equipment on a daily basis.
• Reprocesses all re-usable instruments (decontamination, set identification, preparation, sterilization) with load control numbers on the item.
• Maintains adequate sterile supply levels in the operating room and other units.
• Aids in the development of policies and procedures to ensure department standards are met.
• Assumes responsibility as a lead technician to help train others.
• Monitors the cleaning, sorting, inspecting and grouping of instruments to be wrapped and sterilized.
• Recognizes urgent sterile instruments or sets based on surgical schedule, surgical booking and room requests and responds immediately.
• Verifies with Operating Room staff that proper instruments, sets and equipment are on hand and working properly.
• Provides accurate and complete information, identifies service-related problems, and suggests improvements.
• Records all instruments processed in daily logs and files according to procedure.
• Assists in cleaning and inspecting floor equipment, monitors and documents biological/bowie-dick testing, temperature and time cycles, and reports malfunctions.
• Cleans and monitors all necessary equipment.
• Leads, schedules, and trains new employees.
• Ensures that daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning lists are completed by CSR staff.
• Aids in developing, implementing, and updating policies and procedures for the department.
• Adheres to hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of central supply experience.
• Registered CST required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Pay

$23.76 - $39.01/hour based on verified education and experience.

Schedule

Shift/Schedule: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
