About the role
The Lead Cook at Sage Ridge is responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety, and managing staff.Responsibilities
- Oversee kitchen operations and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement meal plans that meet nutritional standards and cater to dietary restrictions.
- Manage staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure food quality and safety through regular inspections and adherence to sanitation protocols.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to maintain a positive work environment and high morale.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a lead cook or equivalent.
- Proven ability to manage kitchen staff and maintain a safe, efficient operation.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Experience with menu planning and budgeting.
Qualifications
- Valid Food Handlers Permit.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
