About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Cook to join our dynamic team at Main Event Caterers. Our business has grown exponentially, and we are excited to add an individual who can collaborate with the culinary team to prepare creative and delicious food, work hands-on in our production kitchen, and demonstrate a culture of food and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the culinary team to prepare creative and delicious food.
• Work hands-on in our production kitchen to prepare food for tastings, special occasion events.
• Demonstrate a culture of food and workplace safety.
• End the day knowing that you delivered high quality food for your clients, a clean and safe kitchen, and a fun and professional experience for your team.

Requirements

• Bring a passion for creating exceptional food and experiences to clients.
• Act with contagious, positive energy.
• Display an “A” player drive that delivers habitual consistency each day.
• Demonstrate accountability by maintaining high standards for menus, recipes, portions, inventories, waste, and food & labor costs.
• Calmly operate with a sense of urgency to meet strict deadlines.
• Remain approachable and solution focused to adapt, improvise, and overcome the inevitable obstacles.
• Foster a culture of warmth and belonging where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Line Cook in a professional kitchen.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
