About the role
The Lead Cook position at Canteen Services is responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety, and managing staff.
Responsibilities
- Oversee kitchen operations to ensure efficient and safe food preparation
- Manage staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new menu items
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Valid Food Handlers Permit
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Proficient in kitchen equipment operation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively

Pay
$20 - $25 per hour based on experience
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
