About the role
Tigg's Canteen Services is hiring a Permanent Full-Time Lead Cook for Grand Traverse County Jail in Traverse City, MI.
Responsibilities
- Work well in a structured correctional environment.
- Read and follow company recipes.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Lead, instruct, and assist with meal preparations including food preparation, baking, cooking, and clean-up.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts - days and hours (between 9:00am - 6:00pm).
- C clearance approval into the facility.
- Previous food service or kitchen experience is a plus, but training will be provided to the right candidate.
Pay
Starting wage at $21.00 per hour.
