About the role
Hybrid-based position in our Syracuse, NY office.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. No sponsorship is available for this position.
Responsibilities
- Assist with reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations, with focus on supporting project teams to provide clients’ with environmental reporting and interactions with regulatory agency communications
- Support client relationships and lead and prepare deliverables to meet client needs in an efficient manner
- Prepare Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans including performing site visits to client facilities to gather applicable information to identify and develop tailored plans to meet facility needs and regulatory requirements
- Prepare Stormwater discharge permit applications and associated Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and support preparation of wastewater discharge permits and Best Management Practices (BMP) Plans
- Aid in preparing various levels of air quality permit applications and environmental reports, completing EPCRA Tier II and TRI Reporting, and other environmental compliance experience, considering a plus
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering or science discipline (air quality course work is a plus)
- 5+ years of air quality related experience
- Strong computing skills including high level use of spreadsheets and word processing
- Strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving and organization skills
- Demonstrated capabilities in understanding, interpreting, and applying environmental regulations to real-world situations

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,029 - $102,536 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
