About the role
The Lead Concierge performs a variety of administrative support duties, including greeting visitors, managing communications, and ensuring the security and smooth operation of the community.
Responsibilities
- Greet all visitors to the community and monitor the walkie-talkie, door security system, and fire panel as needed.
- Answer, transfer, and take accurate messages for telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
- Monitor resident sign-in/sign-out log and visitor registration log.
- Complete administrative support functions such as filing, making copies, and logging service request forms for residents and staff.
- Keep the front desk and lobby area clean and neat at all times.
- Sell meal tickets and account for payments via payroll deduction or personal check.
- Ensure the security of the building by periodically checking entrances and exits.
- Attend in-services and staff meetings as required.
- Assist with coordinating the van schedule for residents.
- Follow confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
- Perform supportive office functions for all departments, including filing, typing, and making copies.
- Support administrative responsibilities assigned by the Executive Director.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Professional appearance and demeanor; must dress in a professional manner.
- Experience in administrative functions.
- Ability to answer phones politely and professionally.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Polite, considerate, and professional with residents, visitors, co-workers, and management.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and function effectively in a busy, multi-tasking environment.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Must attend all required in-services and staff meetings.
