Lead Compliance Manager

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Compliance Manager to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead the company’s compliance program with a focus on regulatory readiness, control design, and cross-functional risk management. The position partners closely with Legal, Risk, Product, and external financial partners to support compliant product launches and ongoing operations. The successful candidate will help shape governance, strengthen audit preparedness, and ensure policies scale as the business expands across markets.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain compliance policies across all markets
• Design and implement control systems for transaction monitoring and reporting
• Serve as the main compliance contact for bank and network partners
• Integrate compliance requirements into new products before market launch
• Lead compliance audits and ensure documentation is audit-ready
• Monitor and update policies based on regulatory developments
• Build governance structures for compliance program oversight
• Develop the compliance function and team as the program grows

Qualifications

• 8+ years in compliance, audit, or risk management in financial services
• Experience managing relationships with issuing banks and card networks
• Multi-jurisdiction compliance experience, especially in Canada and the UK/EU
• Knowledge of commercial lending and AML/sanctions regulations in North America and Europe
• Ability to write and operationalize compliance policies and controls
• Experience collaborating with Legal, Risk, and Product teams for compliant product launches
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with regulators and leadership

Pay

$142,000 – $225,000 annually
