Job Summary
The Lead Collections Representative oversees the collection of all retail loans, including mortgage loans, consumer loans, and indirect loans. This role is essential in maintaining the financial health of the bank and ensuring all collection activities are handled with professionalism, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the collection of all retail loans, including mortgage loans, consumer loans, and indirect loans.
- Maintain the financial health of the bank by managing delinquent accounts.
- Guide borrowers through repayment solutions and ensure adherence to Freddie Mac, secondary market, and internal bank guidelines.
- Take the lead on loan relief requests, including modifications, forbearances, and deferrals, ensuring each is processed with diligence and care.
- Supervise and manage OREO/OPP processes, bankruptcies, and legal invoice review.
- Support the bank's commitment to integrity and accountability by being a key resource for both customers and internal partners.
Requirements
- Proven experience in collections or related field.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Freddie Mac, secondary market, and internal bank guidelines.
- Experience with loan relief requests, modifications, forbearances, and deferrals.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of collections or related field experience.
- Experience with loan servicing systems and software.
- Knowledge of bankruptcy laws and procedures.
- Experience with legal invoice review and bankruptcy processes.
