Responsibilities
To support rapid global growth and increasing platform scale, the Infrastructure team is expanding its worldwide cloud footprint through hyperscale public cloud providers. As a Cloud Service Sourcing Specialist, you will lead the sourcing, procurement, and commercial management of large-scale public cloud capacity across global markets.
- Vendor Management & Commercial Ownership
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for hyperscale public cloud providers, building and maintaining senior-level vendor relationships across regions.
- Lead commercial and contractual negotiations for significant cloud service agreements, including pricing, capacity commitments, service levels, and commercial remedies.
- Manage ongoing vendor performance, including capacity delivery, service incidents, SLA enforcement, credits, and commercial claims.
- Cloud Sourcing Strategy & Market Intelligence
- Conduct public cloud market, pricing, and competitive analysis across regions and availability zones to inform sourcing decisions.
- Define and maintain cloud sourcing strategies, including provider mix, regional expansion, commitment structures, and pricing models.
- Develop business cases and recommendations for executive review and approval related to cloud sourcing investments.
- Process Excellence & Internal Commercial Governance
- Lead cost modeling, deal structuring, and financial analysis to support cloud sourcing proposals and pricing approvals.
- Drive internal commercial processes, including pricing reviews, financial approvals, and executive decision workflows.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex commercial, technical, and financial issues.
- Demonstrated track record of executing large-scale public cloud sourcing or procurement deals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate complex topics and influence executive stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic and ownership mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments and manage time-sensitive, high-impact initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or cloud sourcing within the technology industry.
Pay
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $180,310 - $364,800 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package, which may include additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
