Daily Responsibilities
- Design and implement security controls across cloud infrastructure and services
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities within cloud environments
- Develop automation solutions that improve security operations and compliance efforts
- Monitor cloud resources for suspicious activity and security risks
- Support investigations involving cloud security incidents and operational issues
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure secure deployment of applications and services
- Conduct security assessments and configuration reviews of cloud platforms
- Improve security monitoring, visibility, and reporting capabilities
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and identify potential security implications
- Contribute to security standards, documentation, and best practices across the organization
About the Role
The Senior Cloud Security Engineer will play a critical role in securing the firm's cloud infrastructure and technology platforms. This includes designing and implementing security controls, developing automation solutions, and conducting security assessments.
Responsibilities
- Securing cloud environments across the full technology stack
- Working closely with infrastructure teams, developers, security operations, and business stakeholders
- Identifying security gaps and implementing controls
- Improving the organization's overall cloud security posture
Requirements
- Strong experience securing AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
- Knowledge of cloud networking and infrastructure security
- Experience with vulnerability management and remediation programs
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, logging, and monitoring platforms
- Understanding of IAM concepts and access controls
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Knowledge of cloud-native security services and security best practices
- Experience scripting with PowerShell, Python, or Bash
- Understanding of incident response and security investigations
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- 8+ years of cloud security, cybersecurity, or infrastructure security experience
- Experience working in financial services or other regulated industries
- Knowledge of container security and Kubernetes environments
- Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies
- Experience with CSPM and security automation tools
- AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, CISSP, or equivalent certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
Skills
