Daily Responsibilities

  • Design and implement security controls across cloud infrastructure and services
  • Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities within cloud environments
  • Develop automation solutions that improve security operations and compliance efforts
  • Monitor cloud resources for suspicious activity and security risks
  • Support investigations involving cloud security incidents and operational issues
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure secure deployment of applications and services
  • Conduct security assessments and configuration reviews of cloud platforms
  • Improve security monitoring, visibility, and reporting capabilities
  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and identify potential security implications
  • Contribute to security standards, documentation, and best practices across the organization

About the Role

The Senior Cloud Security Engineer will play a critical role in securing the firm's cloud infrastructure and technology platforms. This includes designing and implementing security controls, developing automation solutions, and conducting security assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Securing cloud environments across the full technology stack
  • Working closely with infrastructure teams, developers, security operations, and business stakeholders
  • Identifying security gaps and implementing controls
  • Improving the organization's overall cloud security posture

Requirements

  • Strong experience securing AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
  • Knowledge of cloud networking and infrastructure security
  • Experience with vulnerability management and remediation programs
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, logging, and monitoring platforms
  • Understanding of IAM concepts and access controls
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
  • Knowledge of cloud-native security services and security best practices
  • Experience scripting with PowerShell, Python, or Bash
  • Understanding of incident response and security investigations
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of cloud security, cybersecurity, or infrastructure security experience
  • Experience working in financial services or other regulated industries
  • Knowledge of container security and Kubernetes environments
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies
  • Experience with CSPM and security automation tools
  • AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, CISSP, or equivalent certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
