Responsibilities

• Facilitate the development of Individual Service Plans (ISP) for each assigned resident by completing the required ORR UAC Assessment and Assessment for Risks within 72 hours of UC arrival
• Assure necessary input is provided to Case Managers and in the UAC Portal within 5 days of UAC arrival to aid in facilitation of the ISP
• Provide input associated with the counseling component to Case Managers through inputting Case Review information in the UAC Portal every 30 days for each UAC in caseload
• Assess for Trafficking concerns and refer qualified UACs to OTIP Division of ORR
• Facilitate progress group therapy and various topical groups through the Counseling program on a weekly basis
• Demonstrate a proactive approach in clinical support on an ongoing basis to residential and education component team members
• Available for on-call mental health crises
• Participate as an active member of the weekly federal staffing
• Communicate any mental health/behavior concerns to ORR representatives and clinical team
• Work with Case Managers to make recommendations for appropriate discharge from YFT
• Provide Case Managers with necessary Mental Health input for reunification of clients
• Interview Potential Placements as needed
• Provide weekly supervision meetings to assigned therapists
• Be available to provide guidance to subordinates regarding cases, diagnosis, and safety planning
• Manage Paycom by reviewing and approving time off requests to assure proper clinical coverage
• Assign clients/cases to therapists as Placement Approvals are received, ensuring caseloads remain evenly distributed and manageable; assignments can be changed if necessary for optimal therapeutic fit
• Oversee Clinicians regarding file management, appropriate documentation, communication, and regulatory compliance
• Co-facilitate Evaluation Team
• Review ORR File documentation for completion, accuracy, and quality standards
• Facilitate the development of Individual Treatment Plans (ITP) for each assigned resident
• Provide input associated with the counseling component to Case Managers every thirty days by the time the Case Review is due (every ninety days for Long Term Foster Care cases)
• Perform individual therapy for residents as requested by supervisor
• Assess and diagnose individuals as necessary as an LMHP
• Organize and implement family group therapy as needed or requested by the FFS (may involve weekend or evening work)
• Accessible via phone for consultation on mental health issues surrounding clients or other residents if needed
• Participate as Facilitator and active member of the Evaluation Team
• Communicate team review with necessary individuals in residents' lives
• Timely completion of required reports: Monthly Facility Intake and Contact Forms to the PO by the 7th at 2 PM; Quarterly HHS Clinical Numbers by due date set by the VP of Programs (separate reports for Shelter, LTFC, and IFC)
• Provide board approved social work or counseling supervision to those going for licensure for no remuneration (if a board-approved supervisor is needed, one will be provided by YFT if the individual is on staff and respective board approves)
• Attend all training mandated by YFT
• Support the structured program of care outlined in DBHDS and DSS state standards (DBHDS: 12VAC 35-46-800; DSS: 22 VAC 40-151-720) and under ORR guidance
• Other duties as assigned by CEO, VP of Programs, Associate VP of Programs, or supervisor

Required trainings

• All mandatory training required by license agencies and YFT
• External training to complete 40 hours of job-specific related training

Qualifications

• Master's Degree and licensure (LMHP) to provide counseling services
• Demonstrated ability to work with adolescents and families in a counseling setting and function within an evaluation team format
• Ability to assess treatment needs and deliver appropriate interventions
• Ability to maintain all required documentation
• Fluent in English and Spanish verbal and written communication
• Professionally facilitate counseling functions as they apply to our milieu of care
