Lead Clinician/Assistant Director - CVN

About the Role

This position will serve as Lead Clinician for the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic, reporting to the Clinic Director. The Lead Clinician will be a full-time employee, splitting time between providing supervision and oversight of clinic staff and performing patient-facing clinical work. The role requires working one evening until 7pm. Clinic hours are Monday 8am–5pm, Tuesday 8am–7pm, Wednesday 8am–7pm, Thursday 8am–5pm, and Friday 8am–12pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide a combination of program oversight, staff supervision, and direct service provision for the Military Family Clinic.
• Deliver evidence-based treatment to veterans (particularly those who served in Iraq and Afghanistan) and their families (spouses, partners, parents, children), including individual, couples, and family therapy for adults, adolescents, and children.
• Perform and document patient screenings, psychosocial assessments, progress notes, and referral information.
• Conduct clinical intake assessments on veterans and family members as needed.
• Provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy using evidence-based treatments.
• Collaborate and coordinate with caregivers, physicians, case management, and other disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Attend weekly Military Family Clinic clinical, supervision, and administrative meetings.
• Ensure staff clinicians comply with established protocols and policies; meet regularly with the clinical team to review caseloads and address current issues.
• Keep clinical staff informed of program updates and work with leadership to establish training and development plans.

Requirements

• Master’s in Psychology, Social Work, or Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PhD, PsyD) required.
• 3+ years’ clinical experience in behavioral healthcare.
• Experience providing clinical supervision and oversight of clinical staff is preferred.
• Experience working with adults, children, couples, and families is required.
• Experience in PTSD diagnosis and treatment is required.
• Experience across a range of modalities beyond individual adult treatment (e.g., child, couples, and family therapy) is preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate (independent practice) Georgia state licensure; for LPC applicants, ability to become a TRICARE certified mental health counselor (TCMHC) is required.
• Certification or documented proficiency in one or more evidence-based practices: Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or Cognitive Processing Therapy.
• Experience working with a military or veteran population, including cultural competence.
• Experience treating and diagnosing depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationship/family issues, and substance use disorders is preferred.

Pay

$90,000.00–$135,030.00
