Job Type: Full-time, W2 Location: Las Vegas/Henderson,Nevada Join the Industry Leader in Geriatric Mental Health The Lead Clinical Therapist provides clinical leadership, oversight, and direct patient care within the LTC/SNF Therapy behavioral health program. This role supports a team of therapists by ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and promoting efficient clinical operations. The Lead Therapist serves as a key resource for clinical guidance, workflow coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration. What is the BHS Difference? Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Oversight Provide day-to-day clinical guidance and support to therapists Serve as a subject matter expert for complex clinical cases and risk management Monitor clinical documentation for quality, accuracy, and compliance Support onboarding and ongoing training of new clinical staff Promote adherence to evidence-based practices and organizational standards Patient Care Maintain an active caseload, providing individual, and/or family therapyConduct comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and care coordination Collaborate with psychiatry, medical providers, and care teams to ensure continuity of care Operations & Workflow Management Assist with therapist caseload distribution, and productivity monitoring Partner with administrative staff on intake processes, authorizations, and patient flow Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations (e.g., Medicaid, commercial plans) Monitor adherence to documentation timelines and standards Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and performance reviews Support incident reporting and follow-up as needed Serve as a key resource for Medicaid-related processes, including prior authorizations, documentation requirements, and payer guidelines; provide guidance to therapists to ensure timely and compliant submissions Team Collaboration & Communication Facilitate team meetings, case consultations, and clinical supervision Act as a liaison between clinical staff, leadership, and other departments Foster a collaborative, supportive, and accountable team environment Requirements Master’s degree in Social Work , Counseling, Psychology . Active, Nevada unrestricted clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) Minimum 2 years of clinical behavioral health experience Prior leadership, supervisory, or lead experience preferred Strong knowledge of clinical best practices, documentation standards, and payer requirements Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Skills Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems ex: Athena Familiarity with Medicaid and prior authorization processes Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Benefits 9 paid holidays each year.CEU Support.Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.401(k) with company match.Access to additional voluntary benefits, including Life, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Accident Insurance, and more.
