Position Summary
As our Lead Clinical Dietitian, you will coordinate and assist with clinical nutrition administrative duties, mentor and lead the training and development of Clinical Dietitians and students, and regularly perform the direct patient care duties of a Clinical Dietitian II. You will collaborate closely with leadership in Food and Nutrition Services and other hospital departments to participate in patient satisfaction, quality management, and performance improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient screenings, perform nutritional assessments using validated tools, and develop customized nutrition intervention plans—including appropriate feeding routes and prescriptions—tailored to each patient's specific needs and medical conditions
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses, provide education to families and caregivers, and maintain open communication to promote a positive patient experience
- Work within an interdisciplinary environment with high acuity patients requiring an expert level of care
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with completion of an accredited dietetics program (ACEND - Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition Dietetics)
- Valid California Dietitian license
- At least two years of acute hospital experience working with complex patient populations
- Ability to analyze data, manage workload effectively to meet business goals, and maintain highly professional communication and camaraderie with all co-workers and peers
Pay
$47.69 - $70.93 /hour
