About the Role
The Client Services Representative provides office support at the front desk within the Hospital, Ambulatory, or other settings. This role ensures the timely and organized scheduling of patient appointments, manages patient insurance information, enters client information into the computer, and provides accurate financial information to clients. The position supports organizational goals by delivering quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating teamwork and cooperation.
Responsibilities
- Provide front desk office support in a hospital, ambulatory, or clinical setting.
- Schedule patient appointments in a timely and organized manner.
- Manage and update patient insurance information.
- Enter client information into computer systems accurately.
- Provide accurate financial information to clients.
- Demonstrate quality customer service and participate in performance improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with team members to support organizational goals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of office experience, preferably in a medical setting.
- Minimum 1 year of insurance experience preferred.
- Experience with ICD-10 coding preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Proficiency in clinical applications preferred; training will be provided within 30-60 days of hire.
Work Environment
- Potential exposure to hazards and risks of a hospital environment, including infectious diseases and hazardous substances.
- Periodic travel to other department locations may be required.
