Lead Cleaner- 2nd Shift
About the role
Shift: 4pm-12:30AM, Monday-Friday. Responsible for coordinating, scheduling and supervising the activities of the building/facility cleaning staff and ensuring that the cleaners keep offices, hallways, stairs, and other areas within the building in clean and orderly condition by performing basic cleaning duties.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, schedule and assign the cleaning staff in the daily interior cleaning of the building
- Assign tasks and inspect building areas to see that work has been done properly, issue supplies and equipment, and conduct inventory of materials
- Conduct or assist with the screening and hiring of job applicants, training new and experienced employees, conducting performance reviews, and making recommendations to management
- Prepare and present reports concerning the occupancy of rooms, hours worked, staff assignments, tasks/duties performed and department expenses
- Supervise and assist with the performance and scheduling of exterior building and premises cleaning, snow removal, and basic maintenance
- Assign staff to assist with minor maintenance and repair work, including painting, replacement of lights bulbs and fixtures, and simple plumbing and fixture repairs/replacements
- Promptly respond to and notify management of spills and emergency situations, need for major and minor building/facility repairs, and other observable safety issues/concerns
- Ensure the proper and safely operation of cleaning equipment, snow removal equipment, tools, devices, chemical/cleaning agents
- Organize and maintain all Safety Data Sheets (SDS’s) for cleaning products, solvents and materials as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
- A minimum of 2 years related experience, preferably at the supervisory level
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Ability to follow and provide both oral and written instructions
- Ability to supervise and yet work collaboratively with others
- Must be reliable, thorough, observant, very organized, flexible and courteous
- Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Word and Excel) and Work Order System

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Regularly required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must have ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment and safely install rigging/lifting devices.
Pay
The compensation for the position is: $14.88 - $17.50
