About the role
This position is responsible for conducting proposal preparation, pre-contract data collection, and administering, extending, negotiating, and terminating standard and nonstandard US Government and International contracts.
Responsibilities
- Propose, negotiate, and administer Direct Commercial Sales contracts for international defense programs, US Government, and Foreign Military Sales.
- Prepare, negotiate, and administer a large volume of contracts of various types for a variety of customers.
- Ensure contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, customer specifications, FAR, DFAR, and ITAR.
- Review RFPs; prepare proposals including engineering changes; perform associated negotiation and define activities.
- Perform risk assessment of proposal/contract terms and conditions; formulate and execute strategies to minimize potential risks to the business.
- Work with customers, management, and program teams to resolve issues, secure approvals, and ensure successful contract execution.
- Serve as point of contact for the customer during all phases of a program.
- Generate and maintain contract documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- 6-10 years experience in Contracts management.
- Experience working Defense contracts.
Qualifications
- Experience working International, DCS, and/or Commercial contracts.
- Experience effectively interfacing at all levels of company management.
- Experience in problem solving through creative solutions drawing from prior experience.
- Ability to manage complex projects or processes.
- Experience leading a team/project in gathering comprehensive data from multiple disciplines and addressing complex issues.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills.
Pay
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, and Vermont is $91,500 - $170,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
