Lead, Center Store

Role Overview: Lead daily department operations in a retail store, ensuring staff training, staffing levels, and adherence to company standards to meet performance goals. Key Responsibilities Manage inventory ordering, maintenance, and proper markdown procedures to minimize loss and ensure product freshness.Validate received orders for quality, quantity, and condition; oversee storage and handling of products.Lead a team to complete stocking, production, and other tasks, ensuring product quality, accurate rotation, and proper handling of damaged items.Maintain product knowledge and awareness of store promotions, sales, and rewards programs.Coordinate and execute weekly and period Flight Plans, manage scheduling, labor, overtime, and payroll with support from the department manager.Support staff development through training, performance management, and goal setting.Ensure a clean, organized, and well-stocked department, adhering to safety, food safety, and guest experience standards.Perform cycle counts, monitor date checking, shelf cleaning, and support safety and PPE guidelines.Participate in meetings, support cross-department tasks, and execute additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent; retail experience preferred.Strong communication, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.Leadership abilities and hands-on work experience.Knowledge of retail operations, management systems, and suggestive selling is a plus.Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; bilingual skills in Spanish are desirable depending on location. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk extensively, and work in varied temperatures and environments.
