Lead, Center Store

Role Overview: This position leads daily department operations in a retail store, ensuring staff are trained, fully staffed, and meet company standards and goals. Key Responsibilities Manage inventory, including ordering, proper markdown procedures, and product freshness.Validate received orders for quality, quantity, and condition, ensuring proper storage.Lead a team to complete stocking, production, and quality tasks, including handling spoiled/damaged products.Maintain product knowledge, including ad items, special deals, and store promotions.Implement and communicate weekly plans, schedules, and safety guidelines.Support staffing, training, performance management, and development of associates.Participate in meetings, maintain a clean and organized department, and ensure food safety and safety protocols are followed.Perform cycle counts, monitor date checking, shelf cleaning, and execute company programs.Support achievement of department goals and key performance indicators.Perform additional tasks as assigned, including cross-departmental support. Qualifications & Skills High School diploma or equivalent; retail experience preferred.Strong communication, organization, decision-making, and leadership skills.Knowledge of retail store operations and management systems.Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for extended periods, and adapt to varied temperatures and environments.
