We are seeking a polished, service-oriented Lead Catering Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong client relationships, and takes pride in getting the details right for every meeting, event, and catering request.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as a professional, responsive point of contact for employees, executives, assistants, meeting planners, and business stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with frequent users of catering services and understand their preferences, service expectations, and event needs.
- Manage catering requests from intake through execution, including order details, changes, cancellations, dietary needs, and special requests.
- Cookery coordination across culinary, conference services, reception, front-of-house, and hospitality teams to support smooth meeting and event execution.
- Own catering documentation, production reports, function sheets, system updates, and food labels with strong attention to accuracy.
- Partner with culinary teams to validate menu information, dietary requirements, allergens, and food safety expectations.
- Provide onsite support for high-profile or complex events and escalate concerns proactively when needed.
- Act as a lead resource for catering associates and hospitality team members, reinforcing service standards, teamwork, and accountability.
- Support billing, invoicing, reporting, reconciliation, and process improvements that enhance the client experience.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in catering, hospitality, conference services, workplace experience, hotel operations, event management, corporate dining, or a related customer-facing environment, including at least 1 year of experience providing day-to-day leadership, training, or supervision within a hospitality operation.
- Experience supporting executive meetings, client-facing events, high-touch service environments, or high-volume catering operations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests accurately and professionally.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and hospitality or event management systems; knowledge of food safety, allergen management, food labeling, or HACCP standards is preferred.
