Lead Cashier
About the role
The Lead Cashier guides the work of others, providing daily supervision to the cashier team while maintaining professional interfaces with customers, management, and co-workers. In addition to supervisory duties, this role requires hands-on involvement in daily store upkeep, floor maintenance, and stocking tasks.
Responsibilities
- Serves customers in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Performs daily supervision, leadership, and guidance of Cashiers.
- Stocks shelves, ensuring all retail shelves are completely filled.
- Cleans and maintains counter tops, fronts of counters, windows, doors, and tops of shelves.
- Sweeps all tile floors outside of doors and walkways, and removes all trash from the parking lot and stockroom.
- Mops all tile floors, cleans restrooms, restocks all paper products, and empties/replaces all trashcans.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cash handling and customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to maintain a professional status and working relationship with customers, management, and co-workers.
- Must be comfortable working primarily in indoor climate conditions.
