About the role

As a Route Sales Lead (RSL), you will perform the responsibilities of a Route Sales Representative (RSR) while also supporting other RSRs to ensure customers receive excellent, timely service and products are effectively merchandised in all supermarket accounts. Key goals include sales volume (per-store average and overall market area) and customer service and retention. The RSL’s time is split approximately 75% on daily RSR responsibilities and the balance on training and developing the route sales team and assisting the Route Sales Supervisor (RSS) with administrative tasks.

  • Support the Route Sales Supervisor (RSS) and/or Manager/Director in ensuring safety compliance, including completing safety checklists and audits and assisting with Samsara safety coaching requirements.
  • Assist the RSS/Manager/Director to ensure RSRs adhere to Company standard practices and procedures by performing periodic procedure audits; correct deficiencies where appropriate, escalate matters to management immediately as appropriate, and communicate all results to the RSS/Manager/Director.
  • Assist leaders in maintaining efficiencies and cost-effectiveness in all aspects of DSD operations by assessing for, presenting, and implementing (as directed) process improvements and cost-saving ideas, including recommendations on changes to route scheduling.
  • Assist leaders with daily administrative tasks such as reviewing order accuracy and making changes in the Korberone system as directed.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required by management.
