Responsibilities
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Reviews project instructions and blueprints.
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
- Installs interior and exterior panels/trim.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements
- Training in vocational schools or related on-the-job experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools.
- Able to read a tape measure.
- Able to read and understand instructions.
- Able to work efficiently without supervision.
- Self-motivated and collaborative with others.
- Experience with troubleshooting.
- Able to communicate with and accurately instruct team members on safety, company policies, and workflow.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs and moving the entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, and handling materials.
- Able to work in an outside manufacturing environment for long shifts, including weekends.
- Requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and a safety-minded approach.
- Able to work in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures.
- Able to concentrate on tasks for long periods and observe and receive information from all relevant sources.
- Works in a typical production environment exposed to loud noise, dust particles, and a non-controlled indoor environment.
- Must regularly wear protective personal equipment such as steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, hard hats, and ear plugs.
