About the role
We are an established and growing restoration general contractor that specializes in rebuilding and restoring residential buildings after a flood, fire, or other natural disaster. We are seeking a Lead Carpenter to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Travel locally to support the residential and commercial reconstruction of damaged properties.
- Utilize knowledge of remodeling trades, procedures, and techniques to create and perform layouts for framing and finishing all phases of construction projects including new homes, room additions, and remodeling.
- Manage job sites with multiple employees and oversee trade contractors involved in project work.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 10+ years of experience in all phases of residential/commercial construction required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, blueprints, and scopes.
- Effectively communicate with customers, managers, and team.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle that can transport tools/materials.
- Strong team leadership skills.
Physical Requirements
- The ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly.
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds.
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
- The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds.
- The ability to work in extreme weather.
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
