About the role
Under supervision, serves as work lead for carpenters and helpers assigned journeyman tasks in constructing and repairing structural components and equipment; builds, repairs, and installs counters, cabinets, partitions, floors, doors, building framework, installs ceiling and flooring components, fabricating and installing infection control containments and barriers, etc. Provides instructions to carry out assigned tasks. Makes minor changes in material needs or modifications to assigned work due to material delays or other problems. Communicates work order revisions, material delays or other problems to Supervisor. Maintains time and material records. Performs other related lead job duties as required.
Responsibilities
- Construct and repair structural components and equipment
- Build, repair, and install counters, cabinets, partitions, floors, doors, and building framework
- Install ceiling and flooring components
- Fabricate and install infection control containments and barriers
- Provide instructions to carpenters and helpers for assigned tasks
- Make minor changes to material needs or work modifications due to delays or problems
- Communicate work order revisions, material delays, or other issues to Supervisor
- Maintain time and material records
Requirements
- A minimum of six (6) years of construction trade experience as a Carpenter
- Experience constructing and repairing structural components and equipment
- Experience building, repairing, and installing counters, cabinets, partitions, floors, doors, building framework, installing ceiling and flooring components
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare environment experience
- Prior demonstrated leadership experience
- Prior construction administration experience, including knowledge and experience with RFIs, change orders, and ASIs
- Experience fabricating and installing infection prevention containments and barriers

Pay
Annual Full Pay Range: $101,435 - $101,435 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $48.58 - $48.58
