About the role

To provide patient appointment scheduling, reception, clerical and customer service functions to all patients, visitors, and employees. These functions include: scheduling appointments, patient reception, appointment check-in, insurance verification and other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Handle patient reception and check-in
  • Verify insurance information
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five years office clerical experience, including a minimum of three years in a medical office setting
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in a personable and professional manner
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Strong computer skills; prefer experience with electronic medical record
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a fast-paced healthcare setting with patients, families and healthcare personnel
  • Organize and prioritize work independently

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a formal training program in medical reception, an equivalent program, or a customer service program preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare setting and EPIC
  • Competency in medical terminology and health care business environment is preferred

Schedule

Monday through Friday. Varying 8-hour shift based of coverage needs. 6:30AM to 5:00PM.
