Take command of your career at 40,000 feet. As a Lead Captain, you will be entrusted with the ultimate responsibility for the safe, efficient, and professional operation of flight assignments. Requirements

  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and FAA First Class Medical
  • Five years aviation experience with 3,500 hours total fixed-wing time, including:
    • 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command
    • 1,500 hours Multi-Engine
    • 500 hours Turbo-Jet
    • 500 hours Turbine
    • 100 hours Night
    • 75 hours Simulated Instrument
  • Ability to work a variable schedule to meet flight mission profiles
  • Willingness to travel extensively worldwide with no restrictions
  • High school diploma (college degree preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all assigned flights, including pre-flight and post-flight inspections, filing flight plans, and analyzing weather and route conditions
  • Mentor and guide crew members to foster professional growth, conduct performance reviews, and coordinate schedules and training
  • Maintain a complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems to operate with precision, manage flight plans, and adapt to changing conditions
  • Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to best practices, conducting passenger briefings, and addressing aircraft discrepancies with maintenance teams
  • Manage trip documentation, maintain aircraft manuals, and assist in crew hiring
  • Represent Jet Aviation with professionalism in all internal and external interactions

Work Environment

  • Perform tasks requiring regular standing, walking, sitting, with occasional climbing, kneeling, or crouching
  • Frequent lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting
  • Maintain sharp vision across various ranges and depths
  • Operate in environments ranging from heavy maintenance areas to upscale customer spaces
  • Experience dynamic atmospheres including aircraft arrivals/departures, occasional high noise levels, vibrations, and exposure to fuel fumes
  • Adapt to changing weather conditions and seasonal temperature extremes in hangar settings
  • Travel extensively worldwide, delivering exceptional service and representing Jet Aviation’s commitment to excellence

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this position is $270,000 to $280,000. The final salary will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, geographic location, and other relevant considerations.
