Lead Campus Monitor - High School Only
About the role
The Folsom Cordova Unified School District is seeking a Lead Campus Monitor to assist with ensuring the safety and well-being of students at secondary school sites. This position is specifically established at the secondary school level to support the mission of inspiring excellence in all students.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and orderly environment by monitoring the school campus and other adjacent areas as assigned.
- Report unauthorized activities to appropriate supervisory personnel.
- Aid in ensuring the safety and welfare of students.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of experience as a Campus Monitor or similarly related position in a public setting.
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
- Obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification.
Qualifications
- Established school policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Board Policies/Administrative Regulations (e.g. 4219.24) pertaining to appropriate Adult/Student interaction.
- Physical abilities including lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching; reaching, handling, touching, and/or feeling; manual dexterity to operate a telephone and enter data into a computer.
- Ability to maintain cardiovascular fitness for running and respond to emergency situations.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, carry up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis, and respond to emergency situations.
- Significant physical abilities: standing for extended periods, walking long distances, sitting at a desk, hearing and understanding speech, speaking in audible tones.
Skills
- Knowledge of school policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate observations or incidents affecting the well-being of students, staff, or visitors.
- Understanding of mitigating potential risks and promoting positive behaviors.
- Experience in diverse school settings and Restorative practices.
- Experience in school safety and law enforcement.

Pay
Hourly salary range: $21.89 - $26.60
Schedule
9.5 months per year, 8 hours per day, 5 days a week
