Job Summary

The Lead Cabin Services oversees and participates in the cleaning and sanitization of aircraft interiors, ensuring compliance with airline and safety regulations. This role involves coordinating a team, assigning tasks, conducting quality inspections, and maintaining efficiency in turnaround times. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and assist with the cleaning of aircraft cabins, including seats, tray tables, lavatories, and galleys.
  • Ensure compliance with airline standards, safety procedures, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assign tasks to cabin cleaning agents and monitor performance to maintain efficiency.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure quality standards are met before aircraft departure.
  • Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety procedures.
  • Communicate with supervisors and airline representatives regarding cleaning schedules and special requests.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Prior experience in aircraft cabin cleaning or a related field preferred.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organization; ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in supervising cleaning crews.
  • Familiarity with airline cleaning standards and procedures.
  • Ability to train and mentor team members.
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Experience using cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
  • Exposure to various weather conditions and airport environments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with strict deadlines.
  • May require wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
